Reno man faces charges for retaliating against 13-year-old son

Charles Yeager Jr., 47, from Reno, is facing multiple charges after making harassing and threatening comments towards his son and staff at Rocky Grove High School. The situation escalated after an incident on Sept. 27, when Yeager’s 13-year-old son arrived at school upset, with visible red marks, and reported an altercation with his father. Yeager was initially charged with assault and harassment, but the assault charge was later dropped. Following a court hearing on Oct. 2, Yeager went to the school, angrily confronting staff over their involvement with Child Services regarding his son. After this, he began sending his son derogatory and threatening messages, including serious threats of violence. As a result, Yeager now faces several felony charges, including stalking, retaliation, terroristic threats, and harassment. He has been denied bail, and his preliminary hearing is set for Wednesday.
