The Venango County Emergency Food and Shelter program will sponsor a county-wide food distribution in December and is looking for eligible residents to register for the giveaway.
Registration will be available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, at the First Baptist Church, 1041 Liberty St., Franklin, and at Christ Episcopal Church at 16 Central Ave., Oil City.
Vouchers, which will be given to those who register, can be used at local grocery stores on Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 14-15.
Program participation is limited to eligible Venango County residents. At the time of registration, participants must sign a declaration of need certifying that their household income falls at or below 150 percent of the current poverty level.
Only one voucher per household will be given out.
