The Armstrong-Indiana-Clarion Drug and Alcohol Commission will host a recovery simulation event Friday at the Gemmell Student Center at PennWest-Clarion University.
There will be two three-hour sessions to pick from — 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m.
The recovery simulation is an interactive opportunity for those who may interact with people in early recovery, such as those working in healthcare, criminal justice, human service professions and elected officials, to better understand the challenges, expectations and stigma encountered by people in early substance use disorder recovery.
The event is free and is open to the public.
Registration is required, and anyone interested or who has questions can contact Erica Pope at epope@aicdac.org to register.
