Cranberry High School will be hosting its 2nd annual charity volleyball tournament at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 17.
The Senior High Student Council decided that this year’s beneficiary is PA Pullin 4 A Purpose, a nonprofit organization that hosts events to support families of children with life-threatening illnesses.
“The student council voted to support that charity because they [the charity] support local students who are in need,” said Heather Motter, the student council advisor.
One of the families that Pullin 4 A Purpose is helping this year is the family of Mason Martin, a football player from Karns City who was injured during a game earlier in the school year.
To raise funds at the event, there will be a basket raffle, a 50/50 raffle and a serving challenge. People can donate a basket to raffle by contacting Maria Galletta at (814) 516-4344 or Rylee Coe at (814) 428-8539.
Admission is donation only.
