Program for rural-based creative entrepreneurs expands into Oil City

Bridgeway Capital, a Pittsburgh-based nonprofit lender, is expanding its Alliance for Creative Rural Economies (ACRE) program to Oil City, offering support to creative entrepreneurs in Venango County and northwestern Pennsylvania. The ACRE program, which fosters resilient creative businesses in rural and underserved areas, will serve 45 new entrepreneurs in Oil City in 2024. Participants will receive tailored business coaching, guidance from industry experts, and opportunities to grow their businesses and contribute to the local economy. Priority is given to BIPOC, women, and veteran-owned businesses with a focus on social impact. Applications are open until December 15, with an information session on October 29.
