From staff reports
Portions of Venango County’s Two Mile Run Park are closed to the public as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
Luke Kauffman, manager of the 2,695-acre park, said picnic pavilions, playground equipment and restrooms have been closed. The park office is also closed to the public.
Several features at the county-owned park, though, remain open for public use. They include the extensive hiking trails, moutain bike trails, horse trails and the lake.
Park staff remains on site.
“Until something changes with this virus, those certain areas will stay closed. And we discourage large groups gathering because we are trying to do our part to curb the spread,” said Kauffman. “But, we still want to encourage people, individually or in small groups, to come out and enjoy the fresh air at the park.”
Kauffman said additional information, including reservations for the summer, can be obtained by calling the park at (814) 676-6116.
