A Seventh Street Elementary student in Oil City escaped an attempted abduction Thursday morning near East Seventh Street and Central Avenue. The suspect, described as a young white male driving a black truck or SUV, tried to lure the child into his vehicle before grabbing her arm. She broke free and safely reached school, where she reported the incident to the principal. Police are reviewing limited surveillance footage and urging residents with cameras in the area to check for evidence. A BOLO alert has been issued, and parents are encouraged to discuss safety with their children.
