Butler state police are searching for the suspect in a shooting Monday night along Harmony Road near Slippery Rock University.
Police said a 23-year-old Slippery Rock man sustained non-life threatening injuries from a gunshot wound during an altercation that took place around 10:30 p.m. Monday.
The suspect allegedly brandished a handgun and fired one shot in close proximity to the man, striking him in the side, police said.
After being shot, the man was able to knock down the suspect and flee the scene, police said.
The suspect is described as a white male, around 6 feet 5 inches tall, and wearing camouflage pants and a white T-shirt.
