PNC Bank is planning to close its Franklin drive-through branch at the intersection of Liberty and 12th streets next month.
A PNC representative confirmed the branch at 1165 Liberty will close Oct. 18.
However, a drive-through ATM will remain on site.
The representative said in a statement that clients in need of teller services will be directed to the PNC branch at 1310 Liberty.
“This decision was based on our ongoing review of client transaction patterns to ensure our branch network most effectively meets the evolving needs of our local markets and communities,” the statement said.
The statement continued that PNC will continue serving clients through banking methods “tailored to their needs,” including branches, voice and mobile banking services, and PNC and partner ATMs.
When asked if PNC Bank had future plans for the drive-through branch building, the representative said there are “no plans to share at this time.”
