A 26-year-old Pleasantville man, Steven T. Cross, is facing multiple felony charges for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor relative on three occasions between October and November 2023. According to police reports, the victim, who was between 12 and 16 years old, came forward on January 17, 2024, after messaging a friend about the assaults. The incidents allegedly occurred at Cross’s mother’s property in Pleasantville, with the first assault taking place after the victim’s homecoming dance, where Cross allegedly provided her with alcohol. Two subsequent assaults occurred in the property’s pool house, with the victim stating she complied out of fear due to past instances of physical harm. Cross faces numerous charges including rape, statutory sexual assault, and corruption of minors, and is currently being held in Venango County Jail awaiting a preliminary hearing scheduled for February 26.
