Pleasantville man accused of attacking two women

A Pleasantville man is facing charges for strangling his wife until she was unconscious and assaulting the woman’s sister when she tried to intervene.

Franklin state police said in a criminal complaint they were called Sunday evening to a Pleasantville residence where a woman told police she had gotten into an argument with her husband, Dylon Leech, 22, that became “heated and physical” with both parties pushing each other.

The woman punched Leech in the head, then he grabbed her, pulled her to the ground, causing a large bump on her head, and began strangling her with a single arm choke hold until she passed out, the complaint said.

When the woman’s sister saw Leech choking her, she begged him to stop and he told her to get away from them, though he continued to choke his wife after she lost consciousness, according to the complaint.

The second woman punched Leech in the side of the head and he let go of his wife, grabbed her sister’s hair and pulled her to the ground, the complaint said.

While Leech’s wife’s sister struggled unsuccessfully to get away from Leech, the girls’ mother saw what was happening and began pulling Leech off her daughter, hitting him to try to get him to stop, according to the complaint.

She yelled at him that she was calling police and he fled the house out the back door, the complaint said.

Leech was charged with a felony count of strangulation, a misdemeanor count of simple assault and two summary counts of harassment.

He was arraigned Monday and placed in the Venango County jail after being unable to post bail, and his preliminary hearing is scheduled June 14 in Central Court.
