Pet of the Day 02/15/25

Meet Larold!

All cats have been spayed/neutered and received basic vaccinations, including a rabies vaccine, and have been de-wormed, and microchipped.

He has been tested for FeLV and FIV and found to be positive for both.

Although cats with FIV can co-exist with cats that are negative, cats that are positive for FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus) cannot. They have a limited immune system and FeLV is very contagious to other cats. Currently, he is healthy and not showing any symptoms of the virus, but because of his weakened immune system, he is likely to contract other illnesses easily and consequently need immediate vet care when symptoms arise.

Until actively infected, these kitties are generally healthy and Larold is very affectionate and has a lot of love to give. You, as the adopter would need to go into adopting him with the knowledge that he may not have a long life, but would love you his entire life.

For more information on the virus, please go to:

The Adoption fee is $50 for adults and $90 for kittens under 1 year old.

An adoption application is required and can be downloaded at: https://www.clarionpaws.org/adoption-process.html

You can visit and adopt Larold from Clarion PAWS in Shippenville, Monday-Saturday!
