Clarion County Coroner Dan Shingledecker confirmed to the newspaper that he was called to the area of Deer Creek and Beaver Furnace Road in Beaver Township on Wednesday.
Clarion County 911 said it was reported at about 12:40 p.m. that a person had jumped from a bridge in that area, which is near Interstate 80.
Shingledecker could not provide further information to the newspaper as of late Wednesday afternoon, as he still had not been able to contact the person’s family.
State police also could not provide further details.
Clarion Fire & Hose Co. No. 1 and Clarion Hospital Emergency Medical Services also responded to the scene, which cleared at 3:05 p.m., according to 911.
