Pennsylvania Western University will hold its fall commencement on Saturday at the Clarion campus, celebrating graduates from the College of Education, Arts and Humanities; the College of Science, Technology and Business; and the College of Health Sciences and Human Services. Interim Dean Craig Coleman will act as master of ceremonies, while PennWest President Jon Anderson confers degrees. Highlights include a student address by summa cum laude graduate Rachel Kister, who earned a communications degree and held several leadership roles at Clarion. Retired faculty member Ellen Foster will serve as mace bearer, recognizing the significance of faculty in student development. Additional speakers include Neil Weaver, Kathy Pape, and Samantha Thauvette, with musical performances by vocalist Gianna Battaglia.
