From staff reports
A permanent, year-round, 10-ton weight restriction will be posted on the entire length of Merrick Street in Pleasantville Borough, Venango County, according to a press release issued Tuesday by PennDOT.
The restriction will take effect Friday.
The weight restriction will apply to the entire length of Merrick Street – approximately 0.6 miles – from the intersection with Route 27 to the intersection with routes 27 and 227.
The posting is being made after traffic and engineering studies indicated the road could be damaged by vehicles exceeding the 10-ton weight limit, according to PennDOT.
A permanent, year-round, 10-ton weight restriction will also start Friday for Williamson Road in West Mead Township, Crawford County.
