Two PennDOT employees from District 1, Judson “Andy” Boland and Dorothy Staub, were honored with the department’s Star of Excellence awards at a ceremony in Hershey for their outstanding performance. Boland, the District 1 permit manager, was recognized for consistently leading in performance metrics, while Staub, the administrative assistant to the district executive, was praised for her professionalism and service. The Star of Excellence is PennDOT’s highest recognition, awarded annually to employees who demonstrate the department’s values of service, performance, and integrity. Boland and Staub were among 30 recipients statewide.
