The seventh annual Paul Richey Memorial Run will be held Saturday at the Samuel Justus Trail beginning on Oil City’s West End.
The event honors the memory of Paul Richey, a Franklin state police trooper who was killed in the line of duty in January 2010 after responding to a domestic call.
The race director is Jack Crawford.
This event will include different races, and the first race will be a three-mile run for active and retired state troopers. That race will be led by Paul’s son, Connor Richey.
The kids fun run will start at 7:45 a.m., the half-marathon will start at 8 a.m. and the 5-K will start at 8:15 a.m.
Cost for the half-marathon is $35, the 5-K is $25 and the kids fun run is free.
Online registration must be done by 6 p.m. Thursday at theprrun.com.
Registration forms are also available at the Franklin and Oil City YMCAs. Registration is also available the day of the event.
Money raised will go to family programs at the Franklin and Oil City YMCAs.
