Opera singer De Palma to be featured Sunday at DeBence

Opera singer Samuel De Palma discusses the player piano on the third floor of DeBence Antique Music World with museum director Cassady Calder. De Palma will give a free concert of opera and popular music selections at the museum at 3 p.m. Sunday.

Internationally-known bass-baritone opera singer Dr. Samuel De Palma will perform a free concert at DeBence Antique Music World in Franklin this Sunday as part of the museum’s fall concert series. De Palma, who has sung at prestigious venues like the Metropolitan Opera and Carnegie Hall, will present a program of opera, popular music, and hymns. The concert is De Palma’s personal contribution to support the museum, inspired by its new director Cassady Calder and her vision. De Palma has performed worldwide for dignitaries and is also a medical doctor. The museum’s fall series, funded by the Phillips Trust, features diverse music genres to engage the community.
