Two free workshops have been scheduled in conjunction with the Get-on-the-Trail entrepreneurial business plan contest.
The first will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. on May 12 in Frame Hall, Room 208, at Venango College with Emily Fetcko, creative director from Moxie Media, serving as the featured presenter.
Fetcko will focus on marketing, specifically why a content strategy is vital to marketing, three keys to creating better custom content and defining content strategies for all media.
As a bonus, participants will receive their own custom content checklist.
The forum is open to any business owner or interested individual and they do not have to be potential contestants in the business plan competition.
Anyone interested in attending is asked to RSVP by May 11.
The second workshop will also be from 6 to 8 p.m. in Room 208 of Frame Hall, but it will be exactly one week later on May 19.
Two of the contest’s judges – Cindy Nellis, assistant director of the Clarion Small Business Development Center, and Frank Hajduk, the Venango County branch manager of SCORE – will tell potential contestants what will be needed for their business profile that is required as part of the application package.
The RSVP deadline for the second workshop is May 16.
Anyone interested in attending either of the workshops can register by visiting http://www.getonthetrail.org or by calling the Oil Region Alliance at 814-677-3152.
