Here is today’s schedule for the first official day of the Oil Heritage Festival:
Junior Olympics – 9 a.m. at Oil City High School track. Registration at 8:30 a.m.
Friends of the Library book sale – 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church
Art shows – noon to 4 p.m. in National Transit Building, Annex and Graffiti Gallery
YWCA spaghetti supper – 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at 109 Central Ave.
Children’s parade – Free Methodist Church to Central Avenue Plaza; lineup at 5 p.m. and step off at 5:15 p.m.
St. Stephen Church Heritage Festival – 6 to 10 p.m. at chuch parking lot at State and Front streets
FLEX ice cream social – 6 to 8 p.m. at Central Avenue plaza. Entertainment by Mostly Brass
Oil City front porch contest – winners announced at 7:30 p.m. at Central Avenue plaza
Queen crowning – 7:30 p.m. in Central Avnue plaza
Echo Valley concert – 8 to 10 p.m. in Central Avenue plaza
