The Oil City Middle School Drama Club’s production of “One Magic Moment” will take place at 6 p.m. today and at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Oil City High School auditorium.
About the show: People all remember that “one magic moment” when they first fell in love. Put that together with the “Grease” feel of the 1950s and it is a winning combination for a musical – rock and roll in the truest sense.
Emily Brownstone (Alex Webster) is a quiet, small town girl that moves to a new school, Rockmont High. She encounters many new friends and foes, including Periwinkle (Jaden Wagner) and Marissa (Ariela Swem). These sassy, yet sweet girls show Emily around the school, becoming her newly found companions.
Miss Walker (Bailey McMahon) and Coach Stevenson (Nate Baker) soon assign Emily to tutor Frankie, sparking a “first love” romance.
This angers Frankie’s “steady girl,” Veronica (Sarah Fox), and her posse, Velvet (Maria Galletta) and Valerie (Taylor Meals). The battle is on for who will win the high school stud’s heart.
Admission is $2 and flowers will be for sale.
