The Oil City Area School District has announced kindergarten registration for the 2024-25 school year. Registration will occur March 24-26 at Smedley Street and Hasson Heights Elementary Schools. Children must be 5 years old by August 1, 2024, and parents must provide a birth certificate, immunization records, and the child’s Social Security number. State-required immunizations, including those for diphtheria, tetanus, polio, measles, mumps, hepatitis B, and Varicella, must be complete. School nurses will assist with health histories and provide vision screenings during registration to identify potential eye disorders in preschool children.
