School is ending for the year and temperatures are rising.
And you know what that means — time for the community swimming pools to open as both the Oil City and Franklin facilities will open this weekend.
The James A. Nelles Memorial Swimming Pool on Hasson Heights in Oil City will open Sunday.
Admission is $5 for the day, or $3 after 4 p.m. Group rates and annual passes are also available.
Children 10 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
Frank Serbati, a 2014 Oil City High School graduate, is managing the Oil City pool.
“I grew up going to the pool and I worked here as a lifeguard for five or six summers… It is a great first work experience and a great transition job,” said Serbati.
