The Oil City Main Street Program has announced the Downtown Clean-Up Day will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19.
Individuals, groups and organizations will be assigned areas upon registration.
“We wanted to take one more swing at a community clean-up event before the leaves fall and the snow begins to fly,” Main Street Marketing coordinator Stew Armstrong said in a news release. “This is a great opportunity to get together with friends, family and co-workers to keep our downtown beautiful and to build community spirit.”
Check-in will be at Oil City Town Square. The Main Street Program will supply garbage bags, and participants are asked to bring gloves, rakes and anything that could help with the clean-up. Adult supervision will be required for all participants under age 18.
Registration forms are available on the Oil City Main Street Facebook page or at http://www.oilcitymainstreet.org.
