Officials discuss possible plan for 100 Seneca makerspace

The Venango County Economic Development Authority discussed plans for the makerspace at 100 Seneca, with makerspace manager Marcy Hall working on its design. Due to space limitations on the fifth floor, officials are considering expanding within the floor or moving it to the third floor, with an architect set to assess the feasibility and cost. Commissioner Sam Breene expressed concerns about high upfront costs, and securing grants for renovations, including restrooms, is part of the plan. The authority also approved a $76,056 contract for elevator repairs. Additionally, Venango Campus, now managed by the Oil Region Alliance, is seeing increased use since PennWest-Clarion’s departure.
