During the Venango County Commissioners meeting Tuesday, commissioners Ken Bryan, left, Sam Breene, second right, and Chip Abramovic, right, signed a proclamation to designate October 2024 as Domestic Violence Awareness Month, urging all citizens to observe this month by becoming aware of the trauma of domestic violence, supporting those who are working toward its end and taking an active role in community efforts to support survivors. The Oil City-Franklin Zonta Club partnered with PPC Violence Free Network & Shelter and the YWCA of Oil City on this endeavor.
