Oil City High School honored its senior volleyball players Thursday, Oct. 20, 2022.
While seniors Ansley Svolos, Lillie Heise, Emma Stahl, and Abigail Kreidler where recognized, they shared their future plans. Heise and Kreidler said they want to attend the University of Pittsburgh for the nursing program. Stahl said she wants to attend college for architecture. Svolos mentioned that she was going to attend school to become a teacher.
The Oilers volleyball team had a rough season with more losses that wins, but that did not stop them from going out and playing the game they love for the last time. They ended up taking the loss but they fought for every point.
As the game was ending, the seniors realized that this chapter of their lives was ending, too. They were never going to play together again. No more bus rides. No more practices. They had played volleyball together all four years of their high school career so saying goodbye to their friends and teammates was bittersweet. But, they are happy to start a new chapter and excited to see what the future holds.
