An Oil City woman is facing drug and endangerment charges for selling drugs to an informant and for keeping her two children shut in their rooms.
Oil City police said in a criminal complaint that on June 24, agents from the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s office used a confidential informant to purchase methamphetamine from Elizabeth Rodgers, 32. The informant and Rodgers were in contact via cell phone text messages to set up the purchase, the complaint said.
After purchasing the meth from Rodgers at her house on East Second Street, the informant was able to identify her from a drivers license photo provided by police, the complaint said. The informant provided a written statement to police, and police took the meth as evidence, according to the complaint.
When the informant purchased the heroin from Rodgers at her house, an unidentified man was with her helping break down, weigh and package heroin, the complaint said.
Rodgers also told the informant she was trying to sell out of what she had and was hoping to make another trip to Erie to “re-up” her supply, the complaint said.
Police took the heroin as evidence and the informant again provided a written statement, according to the complaint.
On July 10, police obtained a warrant and searched Rodgers’ house where they found drug paraphernalia and suspected heroin, the complaint said.
Rodgers has been charged with two felony counts each of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, criminal use of a communications facility and endangering the welfare of children as well as misdemeanor counts of use/possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.
She was arraigned Thursday, and her preliminary hearing is scheduled Oct. 21 in Venango County Central Court.
