From staff reports
Oil City’s annual tire collection event is scheduled today.
The collection will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the city garage on Regan Drive in Siverly.
Residential customers will be limited to eight tires, and a fee of $2 per tire will be charged for additional tires.
In addition, yard waste that the city’s garbage contractor doesn’t take at curbside will also be accepted. That includes material, such as lumber and plaster board, from small construction projects.
The city won’t accept household hazardous chemicals such as paint or electronics.
