OC temporary traffic pattern change starts next week

Starting Monday, Oil City will implement a temporary traffic change to facilitate work on the Western New York and Pennsylvania Railroad tracks across Elm Street. Normally one-way, traffic will shift to two-way on Seneca Street between Sycamore Street and Veterans Memorial Bridge, Elm Street near McDonald’s and the police department, and Sycamore Street between Elm and Seneca Streets. No parking will be allowed on Sycamore Street. Flashing red lights will replace traffic signals, and stop signs will control key intersections. Despite the ongoing Veterans Bridge preservation project, access to all businesses will remain open. Drivers are advised to proceed cautiously and follow all signage. The project is scheduled to last one week, weather permitting.
