Justin Deets
The Pittsburgh Section of the American Welding Society had its award ceremony at the Carnegie Science Center March 29. The actual welding competition was held on December 5, at the Pittsburgh Technical Institute and then all the welded plates were sent away to TUV Rheinland NDT for X-ray Inspection.
Justin Deets, an Oil City High School Student and a Welding Student at the Venango Technology Center, won first place. Justin won $100, a new helmet, jacket, gloves from Lincoln Electric, a week at Lincoln Electric Welding School and his X-ray qualification.
