Oil City Area School District will hold orientation and open house sessions for new students to the middle and high schools on Thursday, Aug. 23.
High school orientation will be held at 5 p.m. in the school’s auditorium. This is for ninth graders and any other high school students who are new to the district. The open house session will begin at 5:30 p.m.
Orientation for the middle school students will start at 6 p.m. in the high school auditorium. This is for fifth grade students and any other fifth through eighth graders who are new to the district. The open house for students and their parents will follow at 6:30 p.m.
New middle school students may be registered for classes from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 to 3 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, Aug. 21 and 23, at the school.
New high school students may be registered for classes from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday and Friday, Aug. 22 and 24, at the high school.
For new students to be scheduled, they must have already completed and returned their completed enrollment packet to the district’s administration building located at 825 Grandview Road, Oil City.
The first day of school is Tuesday, Aug. 28.
