OC ‘Our Town’ show airs Thursday

The program “Our Town More Stories from Oil City” will air at 8 p.m. Thursday on WQLN, Erie’s PBS channel.

The one-hour, 10-minute program will feature 13 stories from Oil City.

The stories include Mitch Littler talking about how he spreads good vibes with music, disc golf at Hasson Park, FLEX, George Cooley and Evelyn Wheeler talking about different aspects of the arts in Oil City, Kathy Bailey discussing the Oil City Main Street program and Judy Etzel speaking about her Hidden Heritage newsletter, Oil City mayor Bill Moon said.

Moon added that he contributed a story about Oil City’s 150-year anniversary celebration.

Several businesses are also featured — Scierka’s Tavern, Core Goods, Devan Zagar’s digital media production company and Scott Airborne Imagery, Moon said.

Moon said participants attended a private showing of the program and were very pleased with the result.

“A couple of people from Oil City are going up to the studio to answer the phones (when the program airs),” Moon said.

WQLN can be found on Channel 10 on Oil City’s Comcast cable system.
