From staff reports
The Friends of the Oil City Library will hold a used book sale Saturday at the library while the Oil Region Festival of the Book is going on outside the library in the Central Avenue Plaza.
The festival is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A huge selection of children’s books will be available along with many historic nonfiction, other nonfiction, popular fiction books, and cookbooks.
There will also be local yearbooks and older books available that will have a set price on them.
Then beginning the following Saturday, Aug. 28, the used book sale area will be open from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays at the library.
Anyone interested in volunteering is asked to contact the library, and the goal is to possibly be open two days a week in the future.
