On March 25, 2022, a men’s Powerpuff Volleyball Tournament was held at Oil City High School. The event was hosted by the Junior Exec club in order to raise money for the prom. Each grade level put together a team to compete for the first place trophy. During the week, the coaches, who were all members of the school’s girls volleyball team, held practices during 10th period, leading up to the event held Friday. The first match held was between the freshman and junior classes. The freshman class shook the gymnasium with a shocking win during the first match. After three sets of competitive play, the score was 1-2 with the juniors taking the win. Then, the sophomores and seniors faced off with the sophomores taking a 2-0 win. In the finals, the juniors and sophomores played a heated match for the trophy. The final matchup put everything on the line! In the end, the sophomores took an inevitable loss to the juniors.
