Oil City and Franklin have announced their street sweeping schedules next week.
Here is a rundown:
Oil City
Tuesday — Orchard, North and Front
Wednesday — Euclid, Englewood, Lower Allegheny, Pennsylvania and Grant
Thursday — Hiland, East Fifth, East Sixth, East Seventh and East Eighth
All vehicles must be off the posted streets by 7:30 a.m. Vehicles not moved will be ticketed and possibly towed.
Franklin
Tuesday — third shift, Oak Hill area; first shift, even side of Atlantic, odd side of Grant
Wednesday — third shift, parking lots D and E and City Hall; first shift, odd side of Atlantic, even side of Grant
Thursday — third shift, parking lots C and B, alleys off lot B, Rotary Way and Women’s Club alleys; first shift, both sides of Pacific, Orchard, Center, Spring, Pine and Norman
Friday — third shift, parking lot A and alley off A, S.P.I.F.Y. Chamber Way and Jaycees Alley; first shift, both sides of Erie and Missouri, Reisenmen Avenue from Atlantic to Grant, both sides of Brown
Residents may see temporary “No Parking” signs. Sweeper breakdowns or inclement weather may cause rescheduling or delays.
Residents who want to sweep their streets before the sweeper arrives may sweep anti-skid into piles in front of their property for pickup by city workers.
Paper biodegradable bags of leaves may also be picked up during spring clean-up.
To arrange for the pickup of these items, residents can call the city’s maintenance center at (814) 437-1600 from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
