Oakwood Heights resident celebrates 100 years

Charlotte Tait of Oakwood Heights celebrated her 100th birthday, reflecting on a life filled with adventure, service, and family. Born in 1925 on Galiano Island, Canada, she became a Licensed Vocational Nurse and served in the Canadian Navy during World War II. After the war, she raised three children and later moved to California, where she became a U.S. citizen. Eventually settling in Pennsylvania, she worked at Franklin Regional Medical Center before retiring to travel the world, reconnecting with family in Europe. A beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Charlotte still enjoys reading and reminiscing about her childhood.
