No quorum for Franklin authority, but some items are discussed

The Franklin General Authority meeting on Tuesday focused on facilities and equipment, but no votes could be taken due to a lack of quorum, necessitating a rescheduled meeting next Tuesday. Discussions included the near completion of road blacktopping after waterline replacements in Franklin Heights and a feasibility grant opportunity for using an experimental method to separate hydrogen and oxygen in water for energy savings at the wastewater treatment plant. Authority chairman Tim Dunkle mentioned previous money-saving efforts, like solar energy, which proved unfeasible. Additionally, a reimbursement request from the Venango County Housing Authority was denied due to customary non-reimbursement for resident issues. The meeting also marked the retirement of Glenn “Bub” Brown, head of the wastewater treatment plant, after 45 years of service.
