Nifty at 90: Reno man still on the go in his community

Don Young of Reno, now 90, is a vibrant and active member of his community. A lifelong resident of Reno, he grew up enjoying local adventures, graduated from Rocky Grove High School, and served in the U.S. Army in Germany. In 1959, he married Pat Bucholz, and together they built a loving home for their three children. Known for his humor, storytelling, and meticulous yard work, Don has embraced a life of activity, from dirt biking and running 5Ks to biking with his “Romeos” group. He’s a stained glass artist, a history and geography enthusiast, and enjoys road trips. Today, he manages the Reno Cemetery Association, supports Reno United Methodist Church, and stays engaged in his neighborhood. Despite his milestone age, Don shows no signs of slowing down, embodying the energy and spirit that define his remarkable life.
