Homer H. Page, a lifelong resident of Polk, is celebrating his 90th birthday on January 5, 2025. Born in Pittsburgh in 1935, Homer served in the U.S. Army in Panama after graduating high school and later worked as an electrician foreman at Polk Center for 35 years. He and his wife, Mary, raised six sons and enjoyed a life filled with hobbies like hunting, fishing, woodworking, and competitive horseshoe pitching, where he earned numerous accolades. Known for his apple pies, fish frys, and storytelling, Homer remains active, spending time tinkering in his shop and exploring his property with his Shih Tzu, Harper.
