Nifty at 90: Franklin woman has a lifelong love for dance

Betty E. Adams of Franklin turns 90 today, celebrated in the *Nifty at 90* series for her lively spirit and lasting contributions. Born the youngest of five, Betty began excelling in dance and baton twirling early, captivating parade audiences alongside her two nieces. She married Jack E. Adams in 1952, and they recently celebrated 72 years of marriage. Betty and Jack raised six sons and ran Adams Bike Shop together for over 20 years, selling over 8,000 bikes to their bustling neighborhood. Passionate about dance, Betty founded the Betty Snyder/Adams School of Dance, where she taught hundreds of students who still fondly remember her. A lifelong Steelers fan and devoted member of St. Patrick’s Church, Betty cherishes her large family, including 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, crediting faith and family for her many blessings.
