The annual *In the Nick of Time* campaign, honoring the memory of Nick Sanford, a Cranberry Area High School student who passed away in 2003, is collecting holiday gifts for teenagers aged 13 to 18. Organized by Nick’s family and friends in partnership with Community Services of Venango County, the effort culminates in a gift drop-off event at Double Play sports bar in Oil City on Sunday, Dec. 8, from 1 to 3 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring unwrapped, teen-appropriate gifts, which will be distributed to those on the Community Services list. Double Play, owned by Sanford’s parents, Stacey and Jim Salsgiver, hosts the event annually. Donations can also be dropped off at the restaurant during regular business hours.
