Starting Monday, the Crawford Area Transportation Authority (CATA) will launch a new Lifeline bus route connecting Titusville and Oil City, based on public and official feedback showing a need for transit between Crawford and Venango counties. Operating from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays, the route will follow Route 8 with main stops at Drake Mall in Titusville, Clifford Street in Oil City, and an additional stop in Rouseville. Passengers can transfer to Venango’s fixed routes or schedule a CATA GO van to reach other destinations. Fares are $2.50 for most adults, with discounts for ADA riders and free rides for seniors and children under 12. The service, partially funded by the state Department of Transportation, the Pennsylvania Lottery, and PNC Charitable Trusts, currently accepts only cash or one-ride tickets.
