The annual Friends For Food campaign has raised $2,815 so far to provide Thanksgiving dinners to families in need. The initiative, a collaboration between Community Services of Venango County and The Derrick/The News-Herald, uses donations to supply turkeys and other food items. Last year, 1,100 food bags were distributed, and this year’s distribution will take place on November 23 at the Rocky Grove fire hall. Donations can be made via newspaper coupons or online.
