National Fuel Gas Distribution Corporation has submitted its annual adjustment for gas supply charges, effective Nov. 1, 2024, which will raise the average residential customer’s bill by $2.73 due to increased natural gas market prices. These charges are adjusted quarterly without markup by the company, with the next change set for Feb. 1, 2025. Additionally, the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) will open on Nov. 4 to help eligible families with energy costs, while National Fuel’s new Customer Assistance Program (CAP) offers payment support and debt forgiveness for customers at or below 150% of federal poverty guidelines. More information on LIHEAP and CAP can be found on their respective websites.
