Multiple field trips get the OK at Franklin board meeting

The trip, set for May 2025, aligns with fifth-grade U.S. history studies. Additional field trips include the Black Knight Marching Band’s participation in the 2025 National Memorial Day Parade in Washington, D.C., and a Niagara Falls excursion for Life Skills students. Other highlights included recognition of Central Elementary’s strong Act 13 educator effectiveness scores, approval of PMEA festival participation, and updates on high school activities such as a musical performance and a student’s Veteran’s Day presentation. The board also addressed policy updates, accepted a $1,200 donation for STEM programs, and approved employment contracts.
