The Cranberry Area School District announced a 3.5% raise for Superintendent Bill Vonada, bringing his annual salary to $144,015. This raise was part of the board’s approval of a $22,373,124 budget, which includes a tax increase for the 2024-25 school year. The millage rate was set at 15.7649 mills, translating to an additional $55.52 per $100,000 of assessed home value, generating $249,339 in revenue. Despite this, the district will face a $544,033 shortfall, to be covered by the unreserved fund balance. Additionally, the board approved a $45,000 repair and seal coating project for the high school parking lot and hired Kennedy Carman as the school psychologist.
