Joe McFadden was re-elected president of the Oil City School Board at Monday’s board reorganization meeting.
Vice president Fred Weaver was also re-elected, and both votes were unanimous with McFadden and Weaver abstaining from their own votes.
In other business at the meeting, Shari Neely was appointed as the school board representative to the Venango Technology Center board of directors with a term expiring Dec. 31, 2019.
School district business manager Susan Fisher was appointed delegate to the Venango County Tax Collection Committee with superintendent Lynda Weller as first alternate.
The board also held its regular December meeting after the reorganization session, and the panel approved Suzanne Fox as a long-term substitute middle school reading teacher as well as Alyssa Schiffer as musical choreographer and Cheryl Butler as musical adviser.
Fundraisers for the senior high art club and the National Honor Society were also approved.
The board’s next meeting, which will be its first meeting of 2019, is scheduled Monday, Jan. 14, with a work session at 6 p.m. and a voting meeting at 7 p.m. at the administration office at 825 Grandview Road.
