NEW CASTLE (AP) – A man who police say threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend and police officers is dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in western Pennsylvania after he barricaded himself in his home.
New Castle police say Troy Glenn Addy killed himself after a brief standoff Saturday morning.
KDKA-TV reports that police say Addy forced his way into his ex-girlfriend’s home, put a gun to his ex-girlfriend’s head and threatened her before he left, telling her he’d kill police officers before killing himself.
Police say officers went to the house where Addy had barricaded himself inside and attempted to negotiate with Addy for a couple hours. They say officers entered the residence and found Addy dead.
