Man facing more charges for sexual assaults of girl

From staff reports

A Seneca man who was arrested last week for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl in Seneca is now facing more charges in a second case involving the girl.

Franklin state police said in a criminal complaint that Jonathan King, 20, had sex twice with a 14-year-old girl while they were at his aunt’s house in Seneca. The girl also provided details to police about the sexual incidents, police said.

King’s aunt confirmed that King and the girl had stayed at the aunt’s house in March, according to police.

King was charged Tuesday with two felony counts of statutory sexual assault – 4 to 8 years older. He was lodged in the Venango County jail after being unable to post bail.

Last week, King was charged by Oil City police with a felony count of rape forcible compulsion and four felony counts of statutory sexual assault – 4 to 8 years older for sexually assaulting the same girl.

Police said the girl told officers she and King began dating in January and broke up in March, and during that time they had sex on four occasions in Oil City.

King told the girl if she “doesn’t do it there will be consequences,” according to police.

Preliminary hearings in both cases are scheduled Wednesday in Venango County Central Court.

King is also facing charges in McKean County in connection with another case involving the same girl. Those charges include statutory sexual assault – 4 to 8 years older, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with person less than 16, aggravated indecent assault – complainant less than 16 and indecent assault of a person less than 16.
